We Teach Torontonians to Speak Craft Beer! Back in 1986, a revolution began with a new brewpub on John Street in Toronto. Ales, lagers, stouts and seasonal beers were brewed on premise, introducing thirsty patrons to something they had never encountered in a beer — flavour. Every beer we make holds to the promises we followed in crafting our very first brews: Crafted by hand, made fresh daily, and created for you to enjoy!
Wee Heavy Scotch Ale
Fend off winter chills with this deep ruby red coloured, lightly hopped scottish ale that is brewed with local golden honey for a sweeter taste. Heather tips are added to the end of the brew to balance out the richness leaving earthy notes. All natural ingredients & non pasteurized.
Amsterdam Pale Rider Dry Hopped Lager
Originally brewed only in monasteries for consumption during Lent, bock beers are the richest, creamiest, and most full-bodied beers in the world. Because of their high food energy and nutritional content, bock beer provided sustenance to monks who were required to fast for over 40 days and nights. If there was one beer you could literally live off of, this would be it. Amsterdam Spring Bock is crafted using three types of imported malts to give it a unique richness and deep mahogany colour. Fermented with their house strain of Danish yeast and aged three times longer than other beers, Amsterdam Spring Bock is a seasonal brew you do not want to miss out on.
Fracture Imperial IPA
Our ode to hops! Fracture Imperial India Ale is brewed with Centennial Citra, Columbus & Simcoe Hops, then dry hopped twice for aroma. Experience layers of citrus and pine flavours with a long, resiny finish. This is our most hop forward beer yet!
Beer Style: Wet Hop. Unfiltered Pale Ale Vibrant hop flavours and hop aromas. Slight bitterness upfront and a crisp hop finish. All natural ingredients & unpasteurized.
Iona Scotch Ale
Iona Scotch Ale was brewed with naked oats, wildflower honey, Maris Otter, toasted malts and touch of smoke in the finish. The extra long boil caramelizes the wort and intensifies the flavour. Our friends at Rosewood provided the honey which we used for subtle aromatics instead of fermentables. A good Scotch ale should have a real depth of malt flavour and warmth to it. While this Scotch is ale is very different than Wee Heavy we think you will like the new direction that we have taken this beer in.
18 Hands – Rustic Pale
A rustic pale ale with aromas of: clover, honey, hay, black pepper. A crisp honey maltiness is balanced with an herbaceous and spicy hop kick. Finishes dry with a lingering herbal, spice and pleasant bitterness. German Pilsner and Vienna malts were used. With Northern Brewer, Hallertau, Hersbrucker and French Strisselspalt hops.

A Pilsner brewed with Saaz and Styrian Golden hops.
American brown ale with a bitter dark chocolate and caramel base and intense citrus and pine hop flavours.
Vorago Baltic Porter
Baltic Porters were originally brewed for export across the North Sea in the 18th century. These brews have a robust flavour profile akin to other rich and flavour forward styles of beer but they stand alone with a cleaner finish by using lager yeast.
When we first brewed a Baltic Porter in 2013 the brewers stashed some away and kept drinking it long after the last bottles had vacated the premises. When we ran out we made some more. In 2014 we won a Bronze Canadian Beer Award in the category and are excited that people enjoy it as much as we do. This time around we used a little more rye, but for the most part stuck to the same recipe. Brewed with roasted and caramel malts Vorago has rich dried dark fruit and chocolate notes smoothed out by a two month lagering. It’s ready to drink today but will age for up to three years.
