Affligem
The monks of Affligem Abbey live by the motto Ora et Labora, pray and work. They believe in the dignity of work, from brewing beer to making bread. For more than 900 years they have been men of craft as much as men of God.

Affligem is one of just 22 certified Belgian abbey beers. Among them, we have something special. We still share the rare tradition of refermenting in the bottle to give more flavour, more strength and more effervescence.

Affligem Double
Traditionally dark and spicy.
Rich ruby-brown with a firm, silky head and strong natural carbonation. Leads on complex clove, spice, anise, raisin, molasses and banana aromas. A deep spicy clove flavour mellows into softer, caramel fruity taste.
A silky, spicy mouth-fell. Finely balanced alcohol with plenty of hoppy dryness gives great structure and keeps it brighter than many other doubles. On swirling, the yeast-bite gives out stronger banana notes, yeasty spice and aroma hops.

Affligem Triple
Bright amber with a firm, creamy head — excellent carbonation. Baked bread aroma then banana, ripe orchard fruit and earthiness. Hops give light pepper and citrus.
Semi-sweetness from residual sugars and light maltiness with more banana, ripe apricot and peach. Medium bodied and smooth mouth-feel, rounded by richness. A truly hoppy finish with a spicy, citrus bitterness. Dry and refreshing, even with the higher ABV and residual sugars. Swirling gives a yeasty spice, stronger banana notes and more hoppiness.
